Practicing Gratitude

In our current state, it is easy to fall into a whirlwind of emotions and miss opportunities for positivity. One way we can create positivity is through gratitude. Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. It helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.

People feel and express gratitude in multiple ways. They can apply it to the past (retrieving positive memories and being thankful for elements of childhood), the present (not taking good fortune for granted as it comes) and the future (maintaining a hopeful and optimistic attitude.) Gratitude can be small actions, and small points of recognition. You can be grateful for the sunset, or a cup of coffee. Gratitude has no measurement.
